Cassette tapes come in several types, each suited for different needs. The most common is the Type I, or normal bias tape, ideal for everyday recording. Type II Chrome offers better sound and is perfect for music enthusiasts Type III is ferric and chrome formula which produces a higher quality then Type I and Type II and finally Type IV Metal tapes provides the highest fidelity and is often used by professionals for critical recordings.
